Dr Alexander Sandhu

Principal Investigator

Alex Sandhu, MD, MS is a cardiologist and physician scientist with a special interest in the care of patients with advanced heart failure. His research focuses on health economics, the implementation of high-value care strategies, and comparative effectiveness. He is involved in three clinical trials at this time: PRO-HF (patient centered quality of life assessments), DOT-HF (mobile device based implementation trial), and a CAC notification pilot trial (patient centered coronary artery calcification notification).

Dr Zahra Azizi

Co-Investigator

Zahra Azizi, MD, MS is a primary care doctor and scientist at Stanford University. Her work centers on precision medicine, employing digital health, computer science, and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. She is dedicated to integrating and applying these methodologies within the medical field to generate novel insights and deepen understanding of health-related issues. Her focus also extends to tackling health disparities, with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient care and reducing disease impact.
